community
Building meaningful relationships is central to our youth ministry. Through shared experiences, small groups, and time spent together, students find belonging, support, and joy as they grow in friendship and discover they are loved.
FAITH
We help students explore, question, and deepen their faith in a safe and supportive environment. Through worship, Bible study, devotions, and conversation, our youth grow in their understanding of God’s Word and how to live it out daily.
serving
Service is at the heart of our youth ministry at Celebration. Through mission trips, service projects, and everyday opportunities, students grow in compassion, leadership, and faith by actively living out God’s love in the world.

9TH GRADERS
confirmation
Our Confirmation program is a key milestone in the faith journey of our 9th grade students. The program is designed to help students explore the core beliefs of the Lutheran faith tradition, and what it means to be a member of the church. Each week includes large group teaching, games, interactive activities, and time to build relationships. Students also pick adult mentors for conversations throughout the year, for deeper reflection and support. Students will also complete service hours, attend worship, and enjoy a weekend retreat with their peers. The year leads toward the Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation), which takes place in the fall of 10th grade during a special worship service.

9TH - 12th GRADERS
mission trip
Our high school mission trip takes place at the end of July and is open to all students in grades 9–12. Each year, we partner with organizations like YouthWorks or Next Step Ministries to serve communities across the country. Recent trips have taken us to Savannah, GA, Denver, CO, and this year—to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Students help with projects like food banks, yard work, painting, and serving the unhoused. The week includes daily Bible studies, worship, and fun group activities. It’s a powerful week of service, spiritual growth, and bonding—plus, the van rides and shared experiences make for unforgettable memories.

boundary waters
Each summer, we offer a couple of Boundary Waters trips for all high school students. These three-night adventures take students deep into the wilderness where we canoe and portage to campsites. Along the way, there’s plenty of swimming, fishing, hiking, and time around the campfire for reflection and fellowship. It’s an intense but rewarding camping experience that allows students to disconnect from daily distractions and fully appreciate God’s amazing creation. These trips offer a unique chance to grow in faith, build resilience, and strengthen friendships in the beauty of the outdoors. Whether you’re an experienced camper or new to wilderness adventure, the Boundary Waters trip is unforgettable.

youth council
Our Youth Council is a leadership team of four elected high school students who meet monthly with Nathan, the Youth Director, to plan activities and provide feedback on the youth ministry. The council members serve one-year terms starting each September. Roles include President (who also represents the Youth Council at the church council and must be a confirmed member), Vice President, Treasurer, and Activities & Food Coordinator. This group plays an important role in shaping the youth experience, offering student perspectives, and helping create a vibrant and welcoming community for all high schoolers. Serving on Youth Council is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and make a meaningful impact.
